Hello!
I’m Liberty Reid, an instructional designer with a strong foundation in recruiting, training, and talent development, currently completing a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology & Learning Sciences at Utah State University.
In my professional roles, including leading talent acquisition efforts at a large enterprise organization, I’ve partnered closely with teams to design hiring workflows, optimize ATS systems, and develop training and onboarding resources that support performance from day one. This work has given me a deep understanding of how learning, systems, and people intersect, and how gaps in training and process design can directly impact retention, confidence, and business outcomes.
My background in psychology, recruiting strategy, and instructional design allows me to approach learning challenges with both a human-centered and performance-driven mindset. I specialize in curriculum design, team-level training, and scalable learning solutions that help individuals build skills while enabling organizations to grow more effectively.
I thrive in fast-paced environments where clarity, adaptability, and thoughtful design matter. I bring a continuous-improvement mindset to my work, always refining strategies to make learning and training more effective, practical, and impactful. I’m especially interested in roles that bridge instructional design, talent development, and organizational learning.

Master's in Instructional Technology & Learning Sciences
Utah State University
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology & Learning Sciences at Utah State University, where my studies focus on designing effective, research-based learning experiences for real-world contexts. Through this program, I have developed strong skills in instructional design, curriculum development, learning experience design, assessment creation, and learning analytics. My coursework emphasizes applying learning theory, adult learning principles, and educational technology to solve performance and training challenges across corporate, nonprofit, and educational settings. Key milestones include designing and launching scalable training programs, developing competency frameworks and evaluation rubrics, and creating multimedia learning experiences that support learner engagement and performance.
2018-2021
Bachelor's in Psychology
Brigham Young University
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University, where I gained a strong foundation in human behavior, motivation, cognition, and interpersonal dynamics. My studies emphasized understanding how people think, learn, and interact in social and organizational settings, an insight that has proven invaluable in designing learning experiences and talent development strategies. Through coursework in research methods, group behavior, and performance psychology, I developed strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills that I now apply to instructional design, training development, and organizational learning initiatives. This background enables me to design learning solutions that are not only based on sound theory but also tailored to how people actually learn and perform in the workplace.
