Project Overview

JellyFish Lighting is a fast-growing company in the permanent outdoor lighting and smart home industry. As part of their recruiting and hiring process, they needed a compelling, consistent way to introduce candidates to the company, its mission, and the opportunity, while setting clear expectations and building excitement.

I designed an interview-stage company information presentation used during candidate interviews to support alignment, engagement, and informed decision-making. The presentation serves as both an orientation tool and an employer branding asset, ensuring every candidate receives a clear, polished, and consistent message about JellyFish Lighting and the role.

Design Strategy

I approached this project as a learning and enablement experience, not a traditional slide deck. The goal was to guide candidates through a clear narrative that answered key questions: Who is JellyFish Lighting? Why does this role matter? What does success look like?

Key design principles:

- Story-driven structure to build context and motivation
- Progressive information flow from company mission to day-in-the-life expectations
- Visual-first design to support engagement and retention
- Consistency and scalability so the presentation could be reused across interviews and markets

Presentation Structure

The final presentation includes:
- Company overview and mission
- Product positioning and industry context
- Growth timeline and innovation milestones
- Day-in-the-life expectations and sales process
- Career growth pathways and advancement opportunities
- Compensation overview and performance incentives
- Clear call to action for next steps

Visual assets and layouts were intentionally designed to reinforce brand credibility and support verbal facilitation during interviews

My Contributions

- Designed the end-to-end presentation structure and narrative flow
- Created all visual assets using Midjourney and Canva to align with brand tone and audience
- Translated complex business and role information into clear, candidate-friendly messaging
- Built a reusable, interviewer-ready resource that supports consistent delivery across hiring teams

Impact

This presentation improved candidate clarity and engagement during interviews, helping JellyFish Lighting communicate expectations, growth opportunities, and company culture more effectively. It also provided recruiters and interviewers with a standardized, professional resource that supports a stronger and more consistent candidate experience.

Why This Project Matters

This project demonstrates my ability to apply instructional design principles beyond traditional training environments. By treating interviews as a learning moment, I designed an experience that supports understanding, alignment, and informed decision-making, reinforcing how thoughtful learning design can improve outcomes across the employee lifecycle.
