Automated Recruiting Dashboard

Project Overview

As a Senior Technical Recruiter at Smart Search, I managed hiring for multiple client roles while supporting a small startup environment. This gave me visibility into operational gaps, particularly around data tracking and performance measurement in the recruiting process.

Problem Identification

Recruitment metrics were being tracked manually, creating inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and a high risk of human error. This limited the team’s ability to quickly evaluate performance and make data-informed decisions.

Solution Design

To address this, I strengthened my Excel and data analysis skills and designed an automated dashboard to track key recruiting KPIs, including job advertising costs, outreach activity, and interview volume. I streamlined data collection by pulling information directly from Indeed and Acuity, cleaning and organizing the data, and updating the dashboard on a regular cadence.

Impact and Growth

This system improved visibility into recruiting performance and reduced manual effort required for reporting. As I continued refining the workflow, my long-term goal was to evolve the dashboard into a fully automated tracking system that could scale with the business and deliver clearer insights for both internal teams and clients.
